About
Pacific Northwest photographer Marcia Neu strives to create an opening for viewers to walk down a forest path, gaze across calming waters, and stand in awe of nature’s wonders, then carry that inspiration into each day, even through life’s hardest times.
Experience
Since 2003, Marcia has hiked near her Pacific Northwest home, capturing high quality images for desktop and wall calendars that have inspired her customers throughout each year.
Current Projects
After 20 years of producing landscape photo calendars, Marcia has now turned her eye toward creating cards, prints and other more enduring artwork that can help with healing in tough times.
Special Focus
Hiking in Pacific Northwest forests can be especially inspiring, surrounded by obvious cycles of life and the healing that comes from regeneration.
Marcia considers herself fortunate to live on Fidalgo Island, within a few miles of Deception Pass State Park and the 2,800-acre Anacortes Community Forest Lands. Her calendar sales helped preserve 3.2 acres of the ACFL and she continues to support the Friends of the Forest by donating 25% of all proceeds of NeuVue photo sales.
Living so close to the ACFL's 51 miles of trails offers frequent opportunities to hike old favorites and new trails, and to see the forest change through the seasons and over time.
From watching moss spring from fallen logs and nurse trees from abandoned stumps, we learn that what happens is integral to life. We can then stride forward with stubborn gladness to embrace loss in our lives and attempt to create positive change in our world.
